This week I am on holiday with my family and enjoying some welcome downtime.
So instead of a typical Tuesdays with MOJO, I will take this opportunity to share an article about the benefits of taking vacation: 4 Scientific Reasons Vacations Are Good for Your Health.
Apparently, the average U.S. employee takes only half of their allotted vacation time. Are you one of those people? If so, I encourage you to reconsider otherwise! You will not only improve your performance at work, but reduce stress, improve health and strengthen relationships.
Wherever you are, even if you’re unable to book a vacation, take just 1 minute right now to close your eyes and picture your happy place. Whether it the ocean, mountains, a city or remote village, allow yourself to be fully in that environment for a moment. Breathe deeply and focus your mind on how it feels to be in that place for 60 seconds (set a timer if need be). Aaaah, the next best thing to a real vacay (oh, and go book that too)!
